Our Land Cruiser FJ40 aluminum storage drop box #4009 is a weld in item and is usually added as an option at the time a customer orders one of our replacement tubs. The price includes the drop box along with our installation labour. This storage box cannot be welded to a stock steel tub because of the dissimilar metals (aluminum vs. steel).

This is a lockable storage solution that sits flush with the rear floor area of the tub and measures approximately 33” long x 16” wide x 10” deep. This box occupies the area bordered by the frame rails, the rear bumper ‘C’ channel and the tube that the rear shocks attach to. One thing to consider when ordering this box is how you will route your exhaust. Because this storage box is welded to the underside of the tub it occupies the area where the stock muffler is normally situated.
