These gears replace your stock 2.488:1 low range ratio with a 3.116:1 ratio! The end result is a 25% gear reduction for your FJ80, FZJ80, or 100-series Toyota Land Cruiser, which combined with your automatic transmission's torque converter, results in almost a 75% total reduction for awesome Rock Crawling No replacement bearings, seals, or gaskets required. Installation is simple to accomplish using standard hand tools, shop press, bearing splitter, and grinder. Requires silicone, thread sealant, and replacement gear oil. Your automatic transmission fluid does not need to be changed

Extra Low Range Transfer Case Gears For Toyota LandCruiser 80 and 100 series HF2A Transfer case
These gears have been designed to directly replace the Toyota LandCruiser constant 4WD HF2A transfer case low range gears as fitted to FJ, FZJ, HZJ and HDJ models built since 1990.
Vehicles fitted with automatic transmissions, standard or other wise can also take advantage of the extra low gearing in low range as a dramatic improvement in engine braking is achieved giving much improved off road performance and increased safety.
Vehicles fitted with larger tyres can regain lower than original gearing when fitted with these gears. For example; 35" tyres will increase the ground speed of your vehicle by approximately 15%, with Marks 4WD low range gears fitted you will still have a 10% lower overall ratio than a standard vehicle.
The original Toyota gearing ratios
High Range 1:1
Low Range 2.488:1

Sumo low range gears
High Range 1:1 = No Change
Low Range 3.115:1 = 25% Reduction
LOW RANGE ratio 3.115:1 or 25% Reduction

The gear ratios are: 1st 4.529:1, 2nd 2.464:1, 3rd 1.49:1, 4th 1:1, 5th .881:1, reverse 4.313:1
Multiply the extra low ratio of 3.115:1 by the 1st gear ratio of 4.529:1 and the differential ratio of 4.11:1 this will give you a final drive ratio of 57.98:1 which is a vast improvement on the standard final drive ratio of 46.16:1

The gear ratios are: 1st 2.95:1, 2nd 1.53:1, 3rd 1:1, 4th .717:1, reverse 2.678:1 Multiply the extra low ratio of 3.115:1 by the 1st gear ratio of 2.95:1 and the differential ratio of 4.11:1 this will give you a final drive ratio of 37.76:1 which is a vast improvement on the standard final drive ratio of 30.16:1
1FZ/1HD Engine & Automatic Transmission: 4-speed with lock up torque converter - A442F.
The gear ratios are: 1st 2.95:1, 2nd 1.53:1, 3rd 1:1, 4th .765:1, reverse 2.678:1
Multiply the extra low ratio of 3.115:1 by the 1st gear ratio of 2.95:1 and the differential ratio of 4.11:1 this will give you a final drive ratio of 37.76:1 which is a vast improvement on the standard final drive ratio of 30.16:1
