If your AFM is not metering the air, then your truck will die when you step on the gas. It will also idle high and not settle down. Also, check your air intake hoses for cracks, as they can make the same symptoms. The AFM also turns on your fuel pump-- So, if this has a malfunction, it is definitely time for a new one. Call for used AFM and or used air intake hoses.
